FTGMF gives out school kits to students of GSS Mwel, Ampang East.

It was a moment filled with hope, gratitude, and renewed inspiration at Government Secondary School Ampang East, as 31 students received life-changing support through the Fwinbe Thomas Gofwan Memorial Foundation. In a powerful demonstration of compassion and commitment to education, the Foundation fully covered the school fees of all 31 beneficiaries for the academic session. Additionally, 22 students were equipped with brand new school uniforms, while 9 students had their WAEC examination fees paid removing significant barriers to their academic progress.

This impactful intervention stands as a living tribute to the legacy of Fwinbe Thomas Gofwan, who held from the community; his life was tragically cut short on September 25, 2023, by mob for a crime he knew nothing about. In honoring his memory, the Foundation is not only uplifting young minds but also championing awareness against mob lynching advocating for justice, empathy, and the protection of innocent lives within our communities.

Committed to sustainable impact, the Foundation is also collaborating with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to deploy at least two corps members to the school, specifically to strengthen the teaching of Mathematics and English Language critical areas where support is urgently needed.

The Foundation was ably represented during the outreach by the Program Manager, Mr. Bright Habila, alongside Mr. Mwenji Amos Gokum, who personally engaged with the students and distributed the uniforms.

In a heartfelt show of appreciation, the students through the Head Boy ( Gabriel Jinung) and Head Girl (Gonyor Seyilnen Nenpoji) expressed deep gratitude to the Foundation, offering prayers for continued growth and the expansion of such transformative initiatives to reach more schools within and beyond the local government.

This is more than an intervention, it is a movement of hope, a stand for justice, and a commitment to building a brighter future for the next generation.
